By accessing or using HoursIn ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HoursIn. Please read them carefully.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use HoursIn. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that: • You are at least 13 years old • You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms • You are not prohibited from using the Platform under applicable law • You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws
Accounts are created via Manus OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not impersonate another person or create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.
You may maintain only one HoursIn account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, playtime requirements, or other restrictions is prohibited and will result in permanent bans of all associated accounts.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Review Guidelines, or applicable law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except in cases of severe violations.
When you connect a Steam or PlayStation Network account to HoursIn: • You represent that you are the rightful owner of the connected gaming account • You authorize HoursIn to query playtime and trophy/achievement data via official APIs • You understand that this data is used to verify your eligibility to submit reviews • You may disconnect your gaming account at any time from your profile settings Connecting a gaming account you do not own, or using any method to falsify playtime data, is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent account termination.
You retain ownership of the reviews and content you submit to HoursIn. By submitting content, you grant HoursIn a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform and in connection with HoursIn's services.
All content you submit must comply with our Review Guidelines. You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You represent that your content does not infringe any third-party rights and does not violate any applicable laws.
You may not submit content that: • Is false, misleading, or fraudulent • Infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right • Contains personal information about other individuals without their consent • Constitutes hate speech, harassment, or threats • Is submitted in exchange for payment or other compensation without disclosure • Is part of a coordinated campaign to manipulate scores • Violates any applicable law or regulation
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Review Guidelines. We will not remove content solely because it is negative or critical of a game, developer, or publisher.
If you believe content on HoursIn infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA takedown notice to [email protected]. Include: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing content, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief. Counter-notices may be submitted to the same address.
You agree not to: • Attempt to bypass playtime verification through any technical or non-technical means • Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the Platform • Scrape or harvest data from the Platform without our written permission • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform • Use the Platform to distribute malware or engage in phishing • Engage in any activity that violates applicable law • Organize or participate in coordinated review bombing campaigns • Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
The HoursIn name, logo, design, and all Platform content created by HoursIn (excluding user-submitted reviews) are owned by HoursIn and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Game titles, descriptions, images, and other game metadata displayed on the Platform are the property of their respective owners. This content is used under fair use principles for the purpose of review and commentary. You may not use HoursIn's intellectual property without our written permission, except as expressly permitted in our Press Kit guidelines.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOURSIN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE PLATFORM IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR $100 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANYTHING). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HoursIn and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: • Your use of the Platform • Your violation of these Terms • Your violation of any third-party rights • Content you submit to the Platform
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
